SEARCH!
Check out these search engines below! Just click on the one you want to go to. When you get to a search engine such as Yahoo! or Infoseek, in the small text box write what you are looking for. If you don't find anything the first time, try using different variations of the word(s).

Yahoo! An all around good internet directory, you will most likely find what you are looking for here. It is good to know what category your topic fits into before you start.

Infoseek It works almost the same as Yahoo!, just type what your looking for in the small text box, then hit search.

Hotbot It's a good search engine, especially if you are looking up images or sounds that have to do with your topic.

Yahooligans It has perfectly safe content, but it isn't a very useful search. Try looking in the categories for your topic before you try the search.

Webcrawler Even though it has a cool looking spider, it's probably not one of the best search engines. Try using this only if your out of options.

Common Questions...

Question: What is a link?
Answer: I'm glad you asked. A link is almost 90% of the time a word that is underlined. If you put your mouse over this underlined word, it usually turns into a finger pointer. That means you can click on that word, and it will take you somewhere.

Question: I'm lost!
Even though that's not a question, here are some tips to help you if you do get lost!
1.) If you want to go back, use the BACK button on the top of Netscape.
2.) If your completely lost and need to start over, press the HOME button located on the same row of buttons as the BACK button. The HOME button will take you back to this page.

Question: I typed in what i'm looking for in the search text box, and then I pressed SEARCH. It loaded up another page. Now what?
It looks confusing doesn't it? It's unfortunate there are so many ads and other things to set you off track. But there is not much anyone can do about that. What you need to do is scroll down and find the underlined words that have some relevance to the topic you just looked up. Click on those topics and hope it has what you are looking for. If it doesn't, press the BACK button and try again.

Question: My mouse froze! or Netscape closed itself!
Welcome to Crashsville! Population: YOU! This is not abnormal for the lab computers to crash while using Netscape, for they are old, old machines. Just raise your hand, and someone will assist you.
